昭和４５年 　 〜４７年	ニューヨーク州立大学バッファロー校医学部客員助教授 (神経生物学部門，主任：エックルス教授）
昭和４８年	京都大学医学部講師（脳神経研究施設神経生理学部門， 主任：佐々木和夫教授）
昭和５５年	同助教授
平成　２年	大学院脳統御医科学系独立専攻の発足に伴い 認知行動脳科学講座に配置換え
平成　６年	同教授，現在に至る
